Full Text: Blane Hodge, Winner of Independent Living of Niagara County's 4th Annual Bass Fishing Derby
On August 2, 2009 at 7:00AM, Independent Living of Niagara County commenced their 4th Annual Bass Fishing Derby. The boats launched from Old Fort Niagara State Park on the Lower Niagara River. Coming in at first place was Blane Hodge with a 4.5 lb. bass, second place was Ray Reichert with a 3.1 lb. bass and third place was Eric Clauss with 2.5 lb. bass. Following the derby was a barbeque celebration at the Fin, Feather and Fur Conservation Club (3F) in Lewiston, NY that included a live performance by the talented Marybeth King and several auctions.

IL Niagara provides Native American Independent Living Services (NAILS), which offers independent living services to Native Americans living on and off the reservations. The Client Assistance Program (CAP) also has an office at IL Niagara; CAP is a free service to advise New Yorkers with disabilities on the rights to vocation rehabilitation and the specific services VESID is required to carry out.
