"Mental Health PEER Connection's -- Luncheon with the Policy Maker Fundraiser with Assemblyman Mark J.F. Schroeder"

On April 24, 2009, from 11:30AM to 1:30PM, Mental Health PEER Connection (MHPC) will be holding the fundraiser, "Luncheon with the Policy Makers" with keynote speaker, New York State Assemblyman Mark J.F. Schroeder of the 145th District. The fundraiser is being held in benefit of the MHPC Housing Assistance Fund, in order to continually provide consumers with small grants for their security deposits, household appliances and furniture that will assist the individuals in need in their transition from institutional care to community living. Institutional care for an individual with a psychiatric disability costs a NYS taxpayer over 100,000 a year yet community supported living is $30,000 or less per year, depending on the severity of the individuals' disability. Tickets for this event are $30.00 per person and include 20 chances to win an Auction Basket, for more information please call Shannon Bond at (716) 836-0822, Ext. 170.
