Full Text: Please join Independent Living of Niagara County for their 1st Annual Policy Makers Luncheon, a fundraiser to benefit improving the lives of persons with disabilities. Special guest speaker, State Senator, George Maziarz will be the keynote. The luncheon will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at the Niagara Falls Convention Center at 101 Old Falls Street, Niagara Falls, NY from 11:30AM until 1:30PM. The Independent Living of Niagara County will serve all individuals with any type of disability in Niagara County using their Four Core Services that include, Information & Referral, Peer Counseling, Independent Living Skills Training and Individual and Systems Advocacy. IL Niagara provides Native American Independent Living Services (NAILS), which offers independent living services to Native Americans living on and off the reservations. The Client Assistance Program (CAP) also has an office at IL Niagara; CAP is a free service to advise New Yorkers with disabilities on the rights to vocation rehabilitation and the specific services VESID is required to carry out.
