Service: Individual Mental Health Advocate

Purpose: To assist persons who are (ex) recipients of Mental Health Services to live independently within the community and maintain or receive necessary services to stay in the community they choose.

Method:
1. Assist consumers in financial benefits (i.e. SSDI, SSI, food stamps, etc.) in applying for or appealing decisions when necessary.
2. Assist consumers in locating and maintaining appropriate housing.
3. Assist consumers in advocating reversing any disability discrimination decisions that adversely affect the recipient.
