Service: Client Assistance Program

Purpose:
To provide support and advocacy to persons with disabilities who are receiving Vocational Rehabilitation Services to facilitate access to appropriate services and timely delivery of services to assist these individuals in successfully achieving vocational goals.

Method:
1. Persons with disabilities will receive information about Vocational Rehabilitation Services including eligibility and access to services.

2. Through advocacy support, persons with disabilities will develop Vocational Rehabilitation Plans to obtain, maintain, or re-enter employment.

3. Mediation and negotiation services will be provided to assist consumers in resolving disputes related to vocational rehabilitation services.

4. Outreach programs will be provided monthly to increase consumer awareness of Vocational Rehabilitation Services in NYS, their rights as program participants, and the supports offered through the Client Assistance Program.

5. A written report of services is submitted monthly to WNYIL and quarterly to Commission of Quality Care (CQC).
