Service: Financial Benefits Consultation

Purpose:
To provide consultation to persons with disabilities to facilitate timely and appropriate remediation of financial problems, and to assist these individuals in applying for and maintaining various financial benefits.

Method:
1. Persons with disabilities will be informed of the various financial benefits that may be available to them (Social Security, Supplemental Security Income, Workmen's Compensation, Medicaid, assistance from the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Veteran's Benefits, etc.).
2. Through counseling, persons with disabilities will be participating in the planning, preparation, and presentation of goals to achieve financial self-support. (i.e. 551 - Self-Support Plans)
3. A written report will follow the delivery of service.
