The Kirsten A. Vincent Respite & Recovery Center and the Fruit of the City Coalition will host a free Health and Wellness Fair from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, in the center’s parking lot at 111 Maple Street in Buffalo.

This event will connect community members with health screenings, practical information, and services that can support their well-being. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends or family members.

Representatives from participating organizations will provide food and nutrition resources, information for survivors of violence, harm-reduction mobile screenings, mobility and fitness coaching, identification assistance, and access to confidential health and human services. Free food giveaways will also be available.

The fair will include several workshops:

  • Tree of Life Project: Creative Expression, led by Samuel Floyd
  • Beyond the Clutter, presented by Annie O’Neil
  • Mobility and Fitness, presented by Siedrra Law
  • Shania’s Beauty Bar: Self-Care Tips, presented by Shania Epps

The Health and Wellness Fair is supported by The Renewal Center, Mental Health PEER Connection, the WNY Independent Living, Inc. Family of Agencies and participating community partners.
